COLE WINSTON MOSS.
Meet Cole. He is a very talented artist and designer I met via the wonderful world of the interweb. A few years ago, I did an interview somewhere and I guess it meant a lot to Cole because he went on his own and hand-illustrated a quote I said in that interview. He sent me this image and it got lost in the cracks of email madness. A few months later, I stumbled upon the jpg but didn’t have the original email it came from so I had no idea who made it! So I sent out a smoke signal on my blog and Cole answered! We worked together to tweak and improve the image for t-shirts and prints. We simply call it MOTTO. The t-shirt and silkscreened archival print is available now at Reed Space. The print is also available at Etsy.
Coleを紹介します。彼は才能のあるアーティスト兼デザイナーで、僕達はすばらしいインターネットの世界で出会いました。数年前、僕はどこかでインタビューを受けて、それがColeにとっては意味のあるものだったのでしょう。彼は僕がそのインタビューで言った一言をイラストにしました。彼はこの写真を送ってくれましたが、大量のメールの中に埋もれてしまいました。数ヵ月後、そのjpgが出てきましたが、それと送られてきたメールが見つからず、誰がこれを作ったがまったく分かりませんでした。そして、僕のブログで発煙信号を出したら、Coleが応えてくれました！僕達は一緒に、Tシャツとプリントにするためにグラフィックを調整し、改善しました。その名もMOTTO。TシャツとシルクスクリーンのポスターはただいまReed Spaceで入手可能です。プリントはEtsyでも発売中。
I then put Cole to work again on another design. The concept was to do a visual interpretation of Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Start The Fire”. Man…Cole KILLED it. This is only a t-shirt right now but I also want to do it as a print as well. Stay Tuned.
そして、僕はまたColeにもう一つのデザインを依頼しました。コンセプトはBilly Joelの「We Didn’t Start The Fire」をビジュアルに起こす事でした。凄い。。。Coleは完璧にやりました。今はTシャツのみですが、いずれポスターにもしたいと思っています。お楽しみに。
