明日、9/14(mon)より全国一斉発売されるAlcool Traditional Jeanをご紹介致します。

Alcool Traditional Jeanは糸から厳選し染めにもこだわったインディゴデニムを使用し、デニムの産地である岡山児島地方の職人にて作り上げられています。そのため、ワークウェア独特のタフさや良い意味での雑さがあります。しかしながらシルエットはすっきりとしており気品も感じられます。ディテールは1940代半ばで廃止されたシンチバックが、そしてポケットには雰囲気あるプリントが施されておりバックからみてもとてもスタイリッシュに仕上がっています。ジャストサイズで選んでいただき、ボタンダウンシャツをイン、ショート丈のジャケット等とあわせていただくのがAlcool Garment流。ロールアップしてスリッポンやローファー等で着崩してもよし、フルレングスでブーツやローテクスニーカーを履いてもよしと万能の定番モデルです。

NEW BALANCE 575 WHITE PIGEON.

For a little over a year now, I’ve been working with the New Balance team on how we can elevate the 575 Pigeon we did in 2008. We knew we were aiming for the Summer of 2009 and we wanted to do something hot for the season. As in most things, nature is a great inspiration for design. The original colors for the entire Pigeon collection we’ve done (that Complex Mag so kindly archived) is the grey/light grey/white/pink colorway you’re probably familiar with. But as some may notice, some pigeons are white. I’m not talking doves. I’m talking white pigeons. They are really interesting to me as they are the minorities in the pigeon kingdom. So with that, ladies and gentlemen, I’d personally like to introduce, the New Balance 575v2 White Pigeons.

もう一年以上、僕はNew Balanceチームと2008年に出した575 Pigeonをどうやって高められるかを考えてきました。2009年の夏を目標にしていたので、何か熱いことをやりたいと思っていました。多くの場合、自然はすばらしいデザインのインスピレーションになります。今までのPigeonコレクションのオリジナルカラーは（Complex マガジンが親切にもアーカイブに格納してくれたように）、グレー/ライトグレー/ホワイト/ピンクとおなじみの色です。しかし、気づいている人もいると思いますが、時々白いPigeonもいます。Doveではありませんよ。白いPigeonです。彼らはピジョン王国の中でもマイノリティーなので、僕にとってとても興味深い。という事で、レディーズアンドジェントルマン、僕自身がご紹介いたします、the New Balance 575v2 White Pigeonです。

IDIOM 2010.

MashKulture.net recently released some good shots of the iDiom 2010 Collection that drops this coming winter. iDiom is a capsule collection that is the brain child of Burton Snowboards, Fragment Design (Japan) and yours truly, Staple Design. Hiroshi Fujiwara dictates the entire creative process. We do our best to execute on his vision. For 2010, the theme of the collection is STELS…which is his code word for “stealth”. So everything is very muted and matte. Nothing shiny or glossy. Anything reflective for safety purposes is discreet and subtle. For example, check out the all over grid patterns you see in some pieces. They are done in reflective print, so at one angle, it’s invisible. At another, BAM! Also, all interior lining colors are very bright, again to showcase the idea of stealth…hiding something. Subtle hints at military themes like D-Ring hardware, Mil-Spec labels, and silhouettes inspired from M-65s and fatigue cargo pants. I know it’s only July…but think snow! この冬にリリースされるiDiom 2010コレクションの写真が先日、MashKulture.netで公開されました。iDiomはBurton Snowboards、Fragment Design（日本）、と僕達Staple Designが集結して作ったカプセルコレクションです。藤原ヒロシ氏が全てのクリエーティブプロセスを指揮しています。彼のビジョンを実現するためにみんなが努力します。2010年のコレクションテーマはSTELS．．．これは「stealth（ステルス）」という言葉の彼のコードワードです。なので、全てが抑えられてマットです。光沢やツヤはありません。安全面で必要な反射部分はすべて控えめになっています。例えば、数枚に見られる格子柄をチェックしてみてください。反射するプリントなので、ある角度では目に見えなくなり、違う角度からは、パーンと現れる！また、内側の裏地はとても発色のいい色を使い、何か隠している、というステルスのアイディアに合うように選ばれています。D-Ringハードウェア、Mil-Specラベルなどの微かなミリタリーテーマとM-65やカーゴパンツなどのシルエットにもインスパイアされています。まだ、7月ですが．．．雪を想像してください！また、この新しいコレクションについての僕のインタビューもチェックしてください。
