「Son of Dragon」に入るところ。嘘ではありません。。。町で一番と言っていい程のおいしい中華料理。

And then AK joins for some dessert afterwards. Godiva makes this incredible ice chocolate drink. It’s decadent. As you can see, I drank it way tooooo fast, and subsequently got some beatdown quality brain freeze.

そして後でAKが一緒にデザートを食べに参加。Godivaが最高のアイスチョコレートドリンクを出してます。とても豪華です。見ての通り、あまりにも早く飲み過ぎたので頭がすばらしくキ〜ンとなり、やられちゃいました。

Dinner was followed at one of my favorite spots, Appia. Qoo, AK, Fraser/Nike, Hiroshi, Eric Clapton and Nat all joined.

僕のお気に入りのAppiaでディナーをしました。Qoo、AK、Fraser/Nike、ヒロシ、エリッククラプトンとNatがみんな参加しました。

Today was also Nat’s birthday and we celebrated with a nice dinner. It’s not everyday Eric Clapton and Hiroshi Fujiwara sings “Happy Birthday” to you!

今日はNatの誕生日でもあり、皆でとてもいいディナーをしました。エリッククラプトンと藤原ヒロシが「ハッピーバースディー」を歌ってくれるのはなかなかありませんよね。

Staple Design 展示会 ’09 FW

最近は気温や天気の変動が激しいですね、体調をくずされている方も多いようですね。

ちなみにLPHファミリーは全員元気もりもりです。

今月は展示会月刊ということで、先週は東京展、そして今週は関西展を開催です。

今回の関西ツアーは車で動くことにしたのですが、来る途中の彦根あたりで吹雪いてました！

その３日前の神奈川は晴れ晴れ２１℃の暖かさで、タンクトップで過ごしてたのに。。

今年初の雪を見ました。雪は好きです。寒くて雪がどっさり降っている時はもっと好きです。

最近首都圏ではみられないですね〜。

話は戻りますが、展示会は大変ご好評いただいております。

いつもお世話になっているお取引先や日頃サポートしていただいている関係者の皆様に来場していただいて、色々な貴重なご意見やご提案などもお聞きしてます。ありがたいです。

そろそろ待ちに待った春夏商品もドロップするのですが、秋冬も公開するのが待ち遠しいです。

再来週は仙台でも初の展示会が決定し、こちらも追ってレポートします。

TOKYO.

Always most inspiring to be back in my second home. The sights, smells, tastes and people…they all add up the collective conscious. 2番目の故郷に帰るといつもインスパイアされます。見るもの、匂い、味、そして人。。。すべて総合して作り出される意識。


The Takoyaki Stand. Octopus in a ball with special mayo and bonito flakes. Don’t try this at home. たこ焼き屋さん。ボールの中にタコが入っていて特製マヨとカツオ節が上に。家ではやらないように。

Your typical delicious fresh sashmini. 定番の新鮮な刺身。

Your slightly less typical whale sashimi…あまり定番ではない鯨の刺身。

Your highly f*cking unusual blowfish sperm sashimi! Yowzers! It was good though (No Homo.) とっても珍しいふぐの生白子のあぶり。ワオー！でも、おいしかったです。(ホモではありません。）

STAPLE x CONVERSE 2/7/09.

Staple x Converse Sea Star Midがやっとリリースされてとても嬉しいです。Sea Starはローのみでしか存在していなかったのですが、今回初めてミッドが出ます。僕たちがミッド部分と膨らんだふちを足して少しスケート/シティーっぽ さを出しました。でも、大半はボートシューズの要素を残しています。アウトソールも航海に適していて、沖に取り残されても大丈夫。ふちの外側も防水です。 今週の土曜日の２００９年２月７日にReed Spaceで発売です。
正直、ほかでの販売は僕でもあまりよくわかりません。イタリアでは10 Corso Comoと聞きました。Coletteではすでに完売しました。なので、情報を持っている方はほかの読者にもわかるよう、コメント欄に書いてください！Enjoy!

I am very excited to finally see the release of the Staple x Converse Sea Star Mid. The Sea Star never existed before as a mid, only as a low. We added the mid and the puffed out collar to give it a bit of skate/city appeal. But we kept the boating aesthetic for the most part. Even the outsole features nautical inspired terms in case you’re stuck out in the high seas. The exterior of the collar is water resistant as well. It drops this Saturday 2/7/09 at Reed Space.
To be honest, I’m not very clear as to who else got these. I heard 10 Corso Como has it in Italy. It’s already sold out at Colette. So any info you have, please, let other readers know in the Comments. Enjoy!

BARCELONA 2.

僕は過去のバルセロナでの食事は悪い経験しかありません。分かってる、分かってる。みんな、「は〜？バルセロナではおいしいものがたくさんあるよ！」って 言っていると思います。まず、ちょっと聞いてください。最初に、僕はお酒を飲みません。二番目に、僕はポークを食べません。だからほとんどタパスが食べら れないのです。すると残るのは？パエリア？でも一週間毎日パエリアは食べれませんよね？でしょ？まぁ、でも、今回の旅ではすばらしい食事ができました。

In the past, I’ve had only really bad experiences with meals in Barcelona. I know, I know. Everyone is saying “What?!?!? Barcelona has the best food!” Well hear me out. First of all, I do not drink. Second, I do not eat pork. So that pretty much cancels all Tapas options. What’s left? Paella? Can you eat paella for a whole week? Didn’t think so. But anyway, on this recent trip, I had some really spectacular meals.


最初の夜にはBBBのオーガナイザー主催で友人たちだけのディナーに行きました。すごく素敵なアパート兼フォトスタジオでのすばらしい手作り料理でした。オーナーのAzitaの彼女さんが全部作っていました。（ごめんなさい、名前忘れてしまいました！）On the first night, the organizers of BBB hosted a very intimate dinner among friends. It was an incredible home cooked meal in this great studio apartment that doubled as a photo studio. Actually the girlfriend of the owner of Azita was cooking up all the marvelous foods. (Sorry, I’m really bad with names!)

また、別の夜にはCal Pepという有名なレストランに行きました。シーフードは完璧でした。雰囲気もとても良かったです。メニューが無いようなところでした。Pepがその場で何か作ってくれて、「もう無理」というまで食べさせてくれます。お勧めしてくれたBenjamin、ありがとう！On another night, we visited the legendary restaurant Cal Pep. The seafood was just perfection. The atmosphere was also very nice. It’s the type of place with no menus. Pep just whips something together and feeds you till you say “mercy”. Thanks to Benjamin for the recommendation!

もうひとつ有名なところでは、Botafumeiroに行きました。こちらもシーフードで有名なお店。。。でもこっちのほうが少しお高くとまっている感じでした。高級でCal Pepのような楽しい雰囲気ではありませんでした。。。でもとてもいい仲間が集まっていましたので良かったです。LaMJC、LTD、HELLZ BELLZとSTPL。あと、All Gone Bookを 出したMichael D＠LaMJCにprops。今までの中では一番良いし、いつも言うように、ストリートカルチャーがかっこいいハードカバーの本になるのは嬉しい。ほとん どこういうのはHypebeastで１５秒見たら、なくなってしまうもの。プリントされたページで見るのはいいものです。Another famous spot that we had to try is Botafumeiro. Another restaurant made famous for their seafood…but this was definitely on the snootier side. Upscale and not as fun as Cal Pep…but this was made up for by the good company. LaMJC, LTD, HELLZ BELLZ and STPL. By the way, props to Michael D @ LaMJC for putting out the All Gone Book. It’s the best one yet and as I always say, I think it’s dope to see the year’s best in street culture printed into a fine hardbound book. Most of these things you see for 15 seconds on Hypebeast and it’s gone. It’s nice to see them on the printed page.
